We offer three very competitive low cost credit card options. Stop paying high interest rates and annual fees. Apply for a River Valley credit card and you can choose the type of card that best fits your needs. And once you have your new card, use our 6.9% APR "balance transfer rate" and transfer your old credit card balances so that you can begin saving on finance charges. Once you have a River Valley Credit Union credit card, you can access our on-line credit card site to check transaction history and payment history, make automatic payments, and download history at no charge.

Check(Debit) Cards

A VISA Check (Debit) Card looks like a credit card but works like a check. Your VISA Check Card is accepted at over 10 million merchants. When you use your card, your purchase will be deducted directly from your checking account. It's safest, fastest, most efficient payment option available today. The card also works as an ATM cash card with access to over 230,000 ATM's worldwide. All of your transactions will appear on your monthly Share Draft (checking) statement. All Check card transactions are free. (There is a fee, however, for ATM cash withdrawals after 8 free transactions per month.)

ATM Access

River Valley Credit Union owns ATM terminals at the following retail locations. River Valley Credit Union members can use any of these terminals to avoid paying surcharges (fees charged by the terminal owner) for ATM access.

Through an arrangement with Shazam and other financial institutions in Iowa, River Valley credit union members have access to hundreds of Surcharge free - Privileged Status ATM terminals in Story and surrounding counties. Just look for the Privileged Status Logo (see above) on the ATM terminal. You can also use Shazam's Privileged Status ATM Locator to locate other non surcharge ATM's in the Privileged Status network.
