Current Openings
Vice President of Operations (Full-Time)
Location: Ames Branch
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00-5:00
Responsibilities:
- Supervising the activities of the operations department and supporting team members
- Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions affecting member accounts and the Credit Union’s general ledger
- Maintaining appropriate policies and procedures to ensure the department operates effectively and efficiently
- Completing and submitting the Credit Union’s quarterly call report
- Collaborating with vendors to facilitate the Credit Union's operations and to ensure that service level agreements are met
- Compiling requested documentation for audits and examinations
- Collaborating with the Credit Union’s human resources partner to process payroll, facilitate the provision of benefits, and maintain accurate records
- Providing recommendations to the CEO in matters of talent acquisition, training, and coaching for the department
- Maintaining compliance with State and Federal regulations that govern the Credit Union’s activities
- Serving as the Credit Union’s Security Officer
- Attending monthly meetings of the Board of Directors
- Participating in quarterly Asset Liability Committee meetings
As well as, assisting the CEO with the following activities:
- Maintaining the adequacy of the Credit Union’s Allowance and Reserve accounts
- Managing the Credit Union’s investment portfolio to achieve a satisfactory return on investment while maintaining necessary liquidity
- Maintaining appropriate offering rates for share/deposit accounts
- Preparation of the Annual Budget
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: A Bachelor's Degree
- Experience: Team Management & Accounting
Vice President of Lending (Full-Time)
Location: Ames Branch
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00-5:00
Responsibilities:
- Supervising the activities of the Loan department and supporting Team Members
- Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions affecting Member accounts and the Credit Union’s General Ledger
- Maintaining appropriate policies and procedures to ensure the Department operates effectively and efficiently
- Collaborating with vendors to facilitate the Credit Union’s lending operations, and to ensure that service level agreements are met
- Compiling requested documentation for audits and examinations
- Providing recommendations to the CEO in matters of talent acquisition, training, and coaching for the Department
- Maintaining compliance with State and Federal Regulations which govern the Credit Union’s activities
- Leading loan collection activities, managing charge-off activity, and recoveries
- Researching, developing, and implementing new loan programs as directed by the CEO
- Attending monthly meetings of the Board of Directors
- Participating in bi-weekly Credit Committee meetings
- Participating in the Credit Union’s short-term and long-term strategic planning
As well as, assisting the CEO with the following activities:
- Maintaining the adequacy of the Credit Union’s Allowance and Reserve accounts
- Developing, proposing, and implementing lending program policy and strategy
- Maintaining appropriate offering rates for all lending products
- Preparation of the Annual Budget
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: A Bachelor's Degree
- Experience: Team Management & Lending
Teller/Member Service Representative (Full-Time)
Responsibilities:
- Providing Credit Union members with information on products and services in compliance with Credit Union procedures; in addition to state and federal regulations
- Receiving and processing member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments; transferring amounts from member accounts as directed; posting transactions; maintaining member records; and balancing cash drawers and daily transactions
- Opening deposit accounts, servicing existing accounts, and handling member account resolution matters
- Cross-selling products and services
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: A high school education or GED
- Experience: Six months of similar or related experience
Experience (Preferred):
- Cash Handling: 1 year
- Banking: 1 year
- Customer Service: 1 year
